Terry Alva John was born in the beautiful island of St. Lucia. In 2000 he went to Caribbean Union College where God equipped him to execute the calling on his life. While at Caribbean Union College (CUC) he met the radiant compliment to his life and ministry Avril Kimberly Henry. Their love grew and blossomed into a marriage covenant on July 23rd, 2006.
Pastor Terry John has enjoyed Sixteen (17) years in Gospel ministry. His ministerial assignments have been in the Babonneau District of 6 churches, the Dennery District of 4 churches and the Micoud district which comprised 6 churches and a primary school. His other portfolios of service has been Religious Instruction teacher in three public secondary school, Chaplain of the St. Lucia S.D.A. Academy, Chairman of the Immanuel SDA Primary School Board, Ministerial Intern Trainer, member of the Caribbean Union Conference Executive committee and Personal Ministries, Sabbath-School, Community Services, Health and Music Director of the St. Lucia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists
On May 1st, 2015 Pastor Terry Alva John was called to serve the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC) as the Vice President for Spiritual Development and Senior Pastor of the University Church. He enjoys spreading the good news of Christ to a world in need. He especially likes working with youth in choirs and uniform clubs. He has preached many evangelistic meetings within the Caribbean region, Central America, South America, England and The United States. Through his ministry the Lord of the harvest has welcomed over 2000 souls into the Kingdom.
Pastor John presently holds a Masters in Pastoral Theology (MAPTH.) from the Inter-America Theological Seminary and a Masters of Science (MSc.) in Counseling with University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona Campus. Pastor John is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Missiology (DMiss.) at Andrews Theological Seminary.
